About
Artists from Jumilla Ángel Ripoll (guitar) and Conchi Marín (dance) offer you a musical journey through Andalusia and the magical sounds of Flamenco. Each Andalusian province has its own characteristic sound. The composers Isaac Albéniz (1860 - 1909), Paco de Lucía (1947 - 2014), Paco Peña (1942 -) and the performer himself, have known how to musically embody the spirit of each place. Just let yourself be carried away by the poetry of Granada and the joy of Cadiz, passing through Almeria, Malaga, Jaen, Seville, Huelva and Cordoba.
Ángel Ripoll trained musically in Madrid with Astour Kirichian and Javier Somoza, studied further in Switzerland with Alessio Nebiolo, and was admitted to the Geneva High School of Music with the composer and guitarist Dušan Bogdanović. His interpretations of Joaquín Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" with the orchestras of the UCAM of Murcia and the Saint-Pierre-Fusterie orchestra of Geneva are outstanding, as is his recent collaboration with Radio Nacional Clásica and his numerous transcriptions for guitar, including works by the Jumilla-born master Julián Santos.
Conchi Marín is the manager of her own academy "Alma Flamenca", created 15 years ago. She was trained by APDE. At the age of 15 she went to Jerez de la Frontera and trained with dancers such as Fuensanta la Moneta and Patricia Ibáñez. She continues training with dancers such as Torombo, Antonio Canales, Carmen Ledesma, Pastora Galván and many more.
